Thanks So Much

Once again I had a stack of Thank You's to make and needed something sweet and simple so I created these little 3 1/2" square cards using "Circle Circus".  I created a random background using several of the stamps in Rose Red, Old Olive and So Saffron stamped onto Whisper White cardstock then layered onto a co-ordinating card base.  I used the Scallop Border Punch to create a border along the bottom of each card and then paper pierced a row of holes at the top using the Mat Pack as a guide.  My greeting is from "Trendy Trees" which I cut out using the Word Window Punch.

Whilst I am on the theme of Thanking, I would like to say what a lovely night I had at Susie's last night, I hope you all enjoyed the workshop, it was really great fun and well done to you lucky ladies who managed to earn yourselves FREE Sale-a-bration stamp sets!

Don't forget, Sale-a-Bration ends tomorrow, 28th February so now's the time to place your qualifying order to receive a FREE stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration leaflet.  For more details contact me on stampinkerry@aol.com.

Krafty "For You"

Another quick post this evening as I have a Home Workshop and then off to our team monthly meeting in the morning and still have to prepare the swaps, eeeekk!!

This is a card used as a make and take at a recent workshop I held, it looks quite detailed but actually its quite simple to put together.  We used "One of a Kind" which I just love and teamed with Kraft (which has to be one of my favourite colours of cardstock, not to mention Rose Red of course!), Chocolate Chip, So Saffron and Whisper White.  We added a brad and striped grosgrain ribbon in matching So Saffron for texture.

Hopefully back tomorrow evening with some piccies of swaps I will be receiving at our gathering tomorrow.

When the colour fits!

I saw a similar item recently on a blog whilst hopping around and decided to create my own version after coming across this chocolate bar with its Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip wrapper, just perfect!!  It didn't take much time to get the correct dimensions to fit the chocolate bar and could be created for smaller bars.

I used two of the stamps from "Love you Much", the trio hearts stamp works perfectly as a background and of course it co-ordinates with the "Heart to Heart" punch should you wish to cut them out with ease!  The scallop greeting was punched out using the Scallop Circle Punch and I used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to layer the image.  The heart was coloured using the Pretty in Pink Marker Pen.
I added a strip of the gorgeous 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and then punched a slot at the top using the Word Window Punch.  It even stands up on it's own!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Love you Much
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink Marker Pen
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla
Accessories: 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Chocolate Chip
Tools: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Corner Rounder

More Love you Much!

Well I did say I have been getting good use out of the "Love You Much" set.  This was created as a Make and Take at a recent workshop and it worked really well.  Once again my fav. colours, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose, this time teamed with Very Vanilla cardstock.  We had good use of the punches to create this M&T and also has some nice soft Double Stitched Ribbon to play with, it is so gorgeous!

I have been making lots of use of this set "Love you Much" recently, what with Valentine's Day and Mother's Day coming up.  I love how the "Heart to Heart" Punch co-ordinates with this set as you will see from the punched out hearts to the right of the card.  I used the trio hearts stamp to create a versamark background then stamped it onto Regal Rose and Rose Red to create the 3 hearts on the right.  The "Love you Much" image was coloured using the blender pens and I attached a brad and a spotty heart.

Recipe:
Stamps: Love you Much
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Versamark
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla, Rose Red DSP

Thank You's

Just a quick post tonight as it's Friday and I try to make an effort to sit and relax in front of the Television!!

I needed to send some "Thank You's" so I designed this little square card that was quite simple so that I could create several cards swiftly.

I used "Happy Moments", which is nothing unusual at this moment in time!!  My background was created with the Jumbo Handle and "Its Beautiful" wheel with Versamark and layered some So Saffron Designer Series Paper along with a border punched using the Eyelet Border Punch.  My image was stamped and cut using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch which I coloured using the blender pens and layered onto a Scallop Circle.  The "Thank You" greeting is also from "Happy Moments", a Sale-a-Bration set which you can earn for free when spending £45 from the Idea Book & Catalogue.

The Sale-a-Bration promotion ends on 28th February so don't delay, place your order with me today to earn one of 4 stamps sets for FREE!

Another Sale-a-Bration card using "Happy Moments".  I stamped the flower image onto Very Vanilla cardstock and coloured using my blender pens with Rose Red and Old Olive inks.  I cut the image with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and layered onto a Chocolate Chip scallop circle. I added Crystal Effects to the flower heads.  My greeting is from another Sale-a-Bration set "Whimsical Words" which has a gorgeous swirly font.  This was punched out using the Oval/Scallop Oval punches.  It is hard to see from the photograph but I stamped the flower image as a background on my Chocolate Chip card base and also in Regal Rose onto the Very Vanilla strip.

Recipe:
Stamps: Happy Moments (SAB), Whimsical Words (SAB)
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Old Olive, Regal Rose
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Kraft
Accessories: Tafetta "Kraft" Ribbon

Inspiring Inkin' Challenge #20

Well I know it's a bit late, but here is my take on the latest Inspirin' Inkin Challenge which you can find over here.

We had to use Basic Grey, Real Red, Very Vanilla and Pretty in Pink with an added twist of having a Valentine theme!  I used the birdy stamp from the set "Love you Much" which I stamped onto Whisper White cardstock, then again onto Designer Series Paper and hand cut out the birdy bodies and adhered them with Dimensionals onto the Whisper White layer that I previously stamped.  I inked the edges to give it a kind of grungy manly touch!  It is not a very clear photograph but I did also add some punched 1/4" circles in Basic Grey and paper pierced the corners of the Black layer.

I stamped the "Love you Much" greeting on the inside of the card and added some hearts to hide the flower underneath!

Friend to Friend Valentine Treats

I decided to make some Valentine treats for my daughter's 3 closest friends, a couple of whom came to one of my workshops lately and had a fab time at the young age of 13, professional crafters in training!!!

Here is what I made:

Sorry about the poor photo quality, I had to quickly take a piccie before she took them off to school on Friday!  These Chocolate Treat Sliders are great for any occasion and by pulling up on the Ribbon Bow it reveals the hidden bar of chocolate inside which has been wrapped in Rose Red Designer Series Paper to match the rest of the holder.  The stamp set used for this treat was "Love you Much" which I have used recently in the run up to Valentines Day.  I used small chocolate bars for these but it would work just as easily with larger bars.  I used Crystal Effects on the cut out hearts to make them shiny.

If you would like to learn how to make these why not come along to one of my classes, contact me on stampinkerry@aol.com for further details.

Recipe:
Stamps: Love you Much
Inks: Rose Red
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Rose Red Designer Series Paper
Accessories: 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Crystal Effects
Tools: Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1/8" Hand Held Circle Punch, Cropadile (for ribbon holes)

Scrapbooking Class

Last night I held my first scrapbooking class, which I hope you ladies that attended enjoyed, thank you for coming along!  We created 3 layouts, leaving a few finishing touches to be added at home, it was quite a push with time, but we just about got there in the end!  Here is the final layout, once again using the "Spiced Cider" Designer Series Paper and it just goes to show that one pack of DSP can create quite different creations!

I stitched around the edge of the larger piece of DSP to give a border.  The stamps used for the title are "Big Deal" which I stamped using Basic Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and hand cut.  The flower emblem in the top left corner is from "Circle Circus".

The hearts were cut using the "Heart to Heart" punch which also co-ordinates with the stamp set "Love you Much".  I typed my journalling using the computer and printed out on Whisper White and cut into strips but you could hand write this instead.

If you are interested in attending my Monthly Scrapbooking Club please contact me on stampinkerry@aol.com or give me a call to book into any other classes, purchase products from the 2009/10 Idea Book & Catalogue or just for advice on 07717 068909

I have been making some cards using the Sale-a-Bration sets and here is one I came up with using "Good Neighbors".  This set is really cute, all those little houses and trees, not just for house moving cards but suitable for many occasions including this birthday creation.  I used scraps of the Designer Series Paper "Merry Moments" for the grass, cut in curves to resemble hills and added the houses and trees using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  I coloured the trees and tall house using my blender pens with the ink pads.  My greeting is from another Sale-a-Bration set "Vintage Labels" and fits perfectly inside this silver frame from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit.  I attached co-ordinating brads to finish the frame and added two co-ordinating buttons tied with Linen Thread.

The 3 layouts for my class are all created using the "Spiced Cider" Designer Series Paper.  I have teamed this one with Close to Cocoa, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip Cardstock along with a Whisper White background sheet.  The stamp set I used is "One of a Kind" and the larger flower is stamped using the Whisper White Kraft Ink onto the Close to Cocoa cardstock.  My journalling spot is "empty" as I want to fill that in when I have more time, but I created this with two circles of card then lightly stamped the smallest flower image with Close to Cocoa onto the Whisper White Circle and drew faint lines for guidance for my journalling.  I used some embellishments from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit, a couple of silver brads and a Ribbon Slide which works really well with the 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.  The flowers are punched out using the Boho Blossoms punch which co-ordinates with the "One of a Kind" stamp set.  I used a template from the SU website for the Chocolate Chip shape that is peering out from the Close to Cocoa layer and drew around the edge to define it using the White Gel Pen, this would be great for some hidden journalling or extra photographs.  My title was stamped using "Big Deal" which is on loan from my wonderful friend Jane {{waves to you}} and on my ever growing wishlist!!

Recipe:
Stamps: One of a Kind, Big Deal Alphabet
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White Kraft
Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Spiced Cider DSP
Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware (brads/ribbon slide), 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, White Gel Pen
Tools: Boho Blossoms Punch, Scallop Circle Punch,

Scrapbooking Classes

My Scrapbooking Classes commence on Tuesday 9th Feb at 7.30pm, I will post details of the other dates later.

This is one of the layouts we will be creating, using only SU products of course!  The Designer Series Paper is from "Spiced Cider" teamed with Sahara Sand, Really Rust, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I used two of the stamps from "Circle Circus" to create a versa mark background on the Sahara Sand layer and one on the Really Rust layer.  The Chocolate Chip scallop border along the bottom was created using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and all the circle embellishments were cut using the 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1" and 3/4" Circle Punches, scrunched and the edges daubered!  My title was stamped using the "Square Serif Mini Alphabet" and "Big Deal" alphabet sets then hand cut and adhered with Dimensionals.

I am loving "Happy Moments", one of the Sale-a-Bration sets, it is really versatile!  Here I have used the Present stamp and coloured it with my blender pens using ink pads.  I used Crystal Effects on the spots on the top present to give that glossy touchy feely look!  I stamped the image onto Whisper White and layered using the Square Scallop Punch in Certainly Celery.  I created a panel layered with Old Olive, Perfect Plum DSP and a piece of 1/4" Ribbon then used the Scallop Border Punch to create a nice edge which I then pierced using the Paper Piercer.  My greeting is also from "Happy Moments", cut out using the Word Window Punch and attached with a Button and Linen Thread using a Glue Dot.

Recipe:
Stamps: Happy Moments (SAB)
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Perfect Plum, Old Olive
Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Perfect Plum DSP
Accessories: Button, Linen Thread, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon

Busy Bee!

Sorry for the lack of posts the last couple of days, I have been busy preparing for a workshop and also planning my Scrapbook Classes which begin on 9th February.

This little card was created using the Birdcage stamp from "Happy Moments", one of the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets, it really is quite cute.  I have made a selection of cards to showcase this set all in co-ordinating colours and I will show them over the next couple of days.

My scallop border was created using the Square Scallop Punch and my greeting, also from "Happy Moments" was punched out using the Word Window Punch.  I added a button threaded with a piece of Linen Thread for texture and adhered with a Glue Dot.  My patterned paper is from the Perfect Plum Designer Series Paper range.

Stamps: Happy Moments (SAB)
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum, Perfect Plum DSP
Accessories: Button, Linen Thread, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
