Busy Sharing what I Love!

I have had a busy week with classes at the beginning, followed by preparation for exhibiting at the Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet at the Creative Crafts Show.

I have really enjoyed talking about my love of Stampin' Up! and wanted to say a big hello to those of you who stopped by to chat with me, some long time lovers of the product and lots of new crafters too.

On Thursday and Friday I managed the stand by myself and had help from the Organisers to step in for me whilst I dashed off for my Make and Take session each day.  Today Caroline came along with me and tomorrow Diana will join me and I am really looking forward to chatting with more people so if you are going to the show, pop on over to Stand A2 and say hello to us!

Apologies for the poor quality pictures, I took them on my phone.  I have lots of stamped projects to share with everyone and actual product too and the feeback has been great, everyone loving the colours of our inks and cardstock and seeing just what great quality items they are.

Well, I really am pooped so must get some sleep, will catch up with some more projects very soon.

Gift Pouch

Enjoyed a weekend at home for a change, due to the weather our local Motorcross meeting was cancelled although we didn't seem to have the rain here that was predicted.    We could have travelled to another venue but much further away and with the outlook there not so good we decided to stay at home.

We didn't get a lie in though as there was the F1 Qualifying Saturday and race on Sunday so we were awake nice and early!

I wanted to share the second part of my card class this month, something I had done, but in a different design at my recent Big Shot Class.

It uses the Scallop Envelope Die for the Big Shot and I had seen one but there were no instructions on how to create it so I had to figure that out for myself.

Now I put in a Hot Chocolate pouch for display but you could make a bookmark and put inside, use it as a sliding card or even a gift voucher wallet.

I have used the same design as the card in my previous post so that both could be given together.

The Marina Mist border at the bottom of the Newsprint paper was cut with the "Tasteful Trim" Bigz XL die and I use this one so much.

Used the oh so cute 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch to surround the Antique Brad.

If you'd like to learn how to get the most out of your dies, why not join me at a Big Shot Class, I run two every month, one daytime one evening at Whitminster Village Hall, just off J13 of the M5.

Secret Garden Stamps

Here is the card we made at my 2 Card Class this month, although the second project wasn't a card, it was a 3D item!

The "Secret Garden" stamp set wasn't high on my list when the Spring/Summer Catalogue was released but after a short while I decided to buy it and haven't stopped using it since.

The outline flower images are beautiful, whether stamped then coloured or stamped onto patterned paper, or used with a technique like we did on the card below, the results are stunning.

Whilst browsing Pinterest I saw a card using this colour combo and decided that I loved it so my inspiration began there!  The combo is Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla.

I had seen the flower colouring technique previously and had shared it with team members at a recent Team Training event.

The flower is stamped and embossed with White Embossing Powder then you colour the image using the Whisper White refill ink with an Aqua Painter.  Allow it to dry or use a heat tool then colour over the top with your required colour, again with the Aqua painter, here we used Marina Mist.  If you are good at shading the results are amazing, I'm not so good but  I think the flower still looks pretty, and it is a really simple technique, very therapeutic too.

We used the Large Doily sizzlit die, cutting one in Vanilla, one in Marina Mist then trimming off the first section to reveal a smaller doily.

The words are from "Fabulous Phrases" which work lovely with the "Word Window" punch.

We used the Window Frames Framelits dies and co-ordinating "Festive" piercing pack to centre the doilies then added the flower, some "Little Leaves" and a gorgeous Antique Brad.

Loved the finished result so much.

Summer Silhouettes and Butterflies

Looking a bit grey here today so thought I would share a nice summery card to brighten things up a little.

Another Card Club project using the lovely stamps from "Summer Silhouettes" and "Papillon Potpourri".

My colour combo is Pool Party {{love}}, just in case you hadn't noticed, Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green with a little Soft Suede thrown in.

The daisy was cut using the "Blossom Party" die with the Big Shot, centred with a gorgeous Faceted Button.

The left and lattice pattern are both from the "Summer Silhouettes" stamp set and the Butterfly from the "Papillon Potpourri" set which also co-ordinates with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.

The "Summer Silhouettes" is priced at just £17.95 for clear mount and is also available in wood.  A very beautiful set consisting of 9 stamps

Blowing Wishes Your Way.....

Isn't the Sizzlit "Pinwheel" die so cute and so clever too!!

Create beautiful pinwheels at ease with your Big Shot, there are pre-cut holes to pin your wheel down!  A brad will hold it all together.

This is a card from a recent Card Club, we make 6 simple but scrumptious cards (well, they aren't so simple, but more basic than my regular 2 Card Class and less involved).

I love the papers in the "Patio Party" set, the colours are great and I especially love the Baja Breeze Heart piece shown here on this card.

We used the "Cloudy Day" embossing folder for the background, adore the spotty clouds which I say so many times!!

The greeting is from a stamp set called "Wishes Your Way"

I love the style of font and the greetings are cute, at just £12.95 from the Spring/Summer Catalogue its great value and works perfectly with the Pinwheel Die which is an amazing £4.50, you will find both on Page 33.

I will be very sad to see Baja Breeze disappear soon, although I am sure that the replacement "Soft Sky" will be equally as lovely.

Remember if you can't be without any of the lovely colours that will be retiring soon, just email me to order any cardstock, inks or accessories before they go out of stock.

Pop Up Posies

A quick and simple card, this time using the Tag as a mat to layer the cake case flower.  Love the combination of Pool Party with Summer Starfruit.

A double bow tied with the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon adhered to some co-ordinating Stitched Satin in Summer Starfruit.

This card is not letter box friendly so a nice little box envelope and hand delivery would suit best!

And here's the box and card together

Pop Up Posies Class

In March I held my "Pop up Posies" Class.

Everyone received a "Pop up Posies" kit that you can purchase from the Spring/Summer Catalogue

We started by decorating one of the Kraft Boxes.  I love these, they come in packs of 4 and are very inexpensive at just £2.75 per pack.  They assemble in seconds and you can decorate them in any way you fancy!

We used the "just for you" stamp which is included with the kit and punched out with the Oval Punch, layering with the Scallop Oval.

I love the "cake cases", the flowers they make are stunning and the fabric brads are delicious!

We used the "Fancy Fan" embossing folder for the sides of the box

and also the "Secret Garden" framelits dies for the leaf, cut from Naturals Ivory cardstock

The kraft tag is also part of the kit and I love the embossed ridges around the edge.  At this class I showed different ways of using this.

We are having a "Colour Refresh"

Stampin' Up! have today announced......

Below you will see the changes, some old colours are returning, some new colours being introduced and a bit of swapping around in the families will happen

Now those colours which are being discontinued are available only WHILE STOCKS LAST, so don't miss out, stock up on your favourites before they are gone.

These changes won't take effect until the release of the new 2013/14 Annual Catalogue in July.  You won't be able to purchase any of the new colours until this time but I may have some samples to share with you nearer the time.

I can't tell you how happy I am that Island Indigo and Pool Party are staying with us, and that Pear Pizzazz is making a return.

In the meantime, if you want to purchase any of the retiring products, inks, cardstock and accessories then don't delay, you can call or email with your order.

Hearts a Flutter

I have so many pictures of past projects to share, just can't seem to keep up with my posting!

These projects were from a class in February, focussing on the "Hearts a Flutter Bundle".

I have to say that I just adore Crumb Cake, I use it sooooo much as a base colour and so many other colours work well with it.

Here I have teamed it with Primrose Petals and Pool Party.

The box has a little window covered with "window sheet" to reveal sneak peaks of the given treat inside.  This one got a little "bashed" in my box of samples, but I still love it!

The tiny little flowers are punched using the "Bitty Punch Pack", a set of 3 mini punches for just £15.50.  I use this so much I have rubbed off the pattern on the front of the punch, oops!

Love the Jumbo Rhinestones, don't you?  The "Bitty Banners" stamp set has matching framelits dies to speed up the cutting process!

A pretty card suitable for lots of different occasions.

The final project was this lovely tag, using the Hearts Framelits dies to create a flower shape by folding the hearts in half.

A little spritzing on the Sizzlits Doily gives a subtle texture to the plain vanilla.

Hope you liked the projects, back soon.

Oh Whale

I am having major problems with Blogger again with uploading pictures, it won't recognise my folder containing all the pictures I take for my blog and it is sooooo annoying!  I haven't had the time to play around and try and figure it out but managed to upload a card to share with you.

I think the "Oh Whale" set is so cute, great for all different occasions.

I teamed it with the "Rain or Shine" stamp set which is proving to be very popular with everyone, the umbrella images are very pretty and again very versatile too.

The "Cloudy Day" embossing folders works perfectly on this card, creating a nice scenery for my swimming whale!

Back with more pictures as soon as I can get blogger to behave!
