Cruise Pictures Continued - First stop..... Haiti

Our first stop was Haiti.  It felt strange to be getting off the Ship and it was very humid.  We had no plans for our day except chilling on the beach.  We did manage to squeeze in a spot of Jet Skiing which was incredibly fast but I loved it, even as a passenger with Jay driving.

I love looking back at these pictures, the memories will stay with me forever and I am so thankful that Stampin' Up! gave me the opportunity to spend time with these lovely people.

We lounged on the beach for a while, walked around the market and made a few purchases, had lunch which was a lovely buffet and drank a cocktail whilst soaking up the sun!  The jet skiing was the last thing we did before getting on the ship and we were literally the last people to get on, oooppps, not our fault hey!!

Another amazing day!

All Aboard the Allure of the Seas!!!

I have today purchased myself a new Laptop and hoping to collect it tomorrow afternoon, so fingers crossed I will be back up and running as usual very soon!

As awful as it sounds, I have felt so lost without it, i love my IPad but I only use it for emails and web browsing and have not yet learnt the in's and out's of mobile blogging and think I need some new App's to help me out uploading my pictures!

So I've hijacked Sophie's laptop to share with you another instalment of my trip, a little late, but as the saying goes, better late than never!

The second part of our adventure began at Fort Lauderdale in a Hotel that Stampin' Up! had arranged for us to stay in before we boarded the Ship on Sunday morning.

It was here I got to meet up with the other Demonstrators as the majority of the achievers were in this Hotel.  A few of us went out for dinner that evening, here is my Blue Cheese Wedge Salad, it was delicious!

and some of my favourite people, Damon, Nat and Michelle

and Rhoda and Alisdair

After a lovely evening catching up with everyone, we went back to our room and sat and chatted with Amanda and Brian then got our heads down ready for the big day!

We woke to beautiful blue skies, a storm had blown in yesterday and it had turned out pretty wet and miserable but today, boarding day, was perfect.

Here we are leaving Fort Lauderdale, looking from the balcony of our cabin.

Our cabin door was decorated with bunting and the hospitality suite was buzzing with excitement!  Each day we got to play a game of hoopla and win a prize.  I have to say it wasn't an easy game, the hoops really didn't want to hook the bottles but I managed to get one each time!

The ship is HUGE and it really doesn't feel like you are on water, it's quite amazing!

Here is my first pillow gift, a pair of sunbed towels - perfect!

Grand Vacation - Second Instalment

We spent our last day at Miami on a tour which Amanda had arranged for us, a trip to the Everglades.

We were collected from our hotel and driven to the airboat

We had a private tour, so just the 4 of us and the driver!

And here he is, amazing guy who was very informative

Just one of the many Aligators we came across on our adventure!

And this cheeky chappy too who walked on water (well on top of the lilly's) then hopped on to our air boat to say Hi!!

Well this was one day I won't forget for a very long time, another tick on the bucket list!

Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation - 1st Instalment

Jay and I arrived at South Beach, Miami, late afternoon on the Monday, we weren't boarding the ship until Sunday so we had a few days to chill and relax before the Cruise, which was lovely.

It was very hot when we arrived and straight away we got changed and headed off to explore the surroundings and the beach.  This was the view from our lounge balcony, we were lucky that both balconies had sun all day!

Our suite was lovely, we also had a balcony from the bedroom but the air was so hot we didn't keep them open for long!

The Savoy was built in the 1930's and had an art deco feel which is typical for this area.

During our stay we decided to take an open top bus tour to see a bit of Miami which was fun, here is Naomi Campbell's house, well probably just one of many, a beautiful mansion with a couple of yacht's parked outside, and her neighbour to the left was Will Smith!

We could hop on and hop off the bus at any time and we got off at a place called Bayside where there was a lovely harbour and we sat and ate at a Cuban restaurant.

We walked a lot during the day, relaxed by the pool and at the beach and sampled a variety of different foods.  The beach was beautiful, white sand as far as you could see.

Amanda and Brian flew in on Wednesday so we met them Thursday night for Mexican which was lovely, they were staying further along the beach.

Stop by tomorrow for the next instalment!
